New laptop

I’m thinking about buying a new laptop for the next quarter. I would like a tablet, but the only place that makes a tablet worth buying is HP, sadly. The TM2T is a great laptop. It has the new low voltage i5 processor in it, mixed with a switchable 5450 ATI graphics and integrated Intel graphics card. Battery life is reported at around 5-6 hours under normal stress with wi-fi on. That’s great for most laptops nowadays. I went ahead and added an extra battery to the price, bringing the total up to $850 after the $200 rebate. That’s stellar for any laptop, especially one that kicks this much ass! The touchsmart has a high gloss, hi-res display, so everything is crisp and clean on the screen. The only downside I can see, is the weight and shape of the laptop. There is a hump in the back that I think will help when you have the laptop on the table and the weight is at around 4lbs. That’s a bit high for no optical drive and only a 12″ display. I think I will enjoy this. I will order it sometime mid December, so I can get it for next quarter.
